Please review all of our national and international jobs at www.7SolutionsUSA.com The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the operations function at our Baton Rouge Aroma Performance facility, which includes managing the production of the major products of the unit, including Hydroquinone (HQ), Catechol (PC), MEHQ, Vanillin and Ethyl Vanillin. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for: •Management of approximately 90 people at the facility •Driving forward the HSE shared site objectives and improvements •Enhancing the business unit’s global position in the manufacture of key products and competitiveness in the marketplace •Proposing and managing capital projects and associated budgets •Implementing various action plans which will improve profitability, yields, etc. •World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Six Sigma, food safety, etc. Qualifications• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry required •15-20 years working in a chemical process production plant with 10+ years of operational (production) supervisory or line management experience required •Experience in implementing world class manufacturing concepts to constantly improve plant operations and safety •Ability to develop optimized production schedules •Excellent leadership and organizational skills •Ability to manage, motivate, coach, and develop personnel •Ability to set aggressive objectives, deliver results, at the same time facilitating cooperation between departments •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Excellent working understanding and grasp of OSHA standards, concepts, and procedures relating to Life Critical activities •Experience working in a union environment a plus •Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or SAP is a plus"
