MT is seeking for experienced, motivated, independent and innovative technical leader to join the department of Technology R&D and Emerging Technologies in MRIC. The individual will be responsible for developing system architectures, building and leading a team of systems engineers and managing development of board level hardware systems, including embedded modules using ARM7 / ARM9 or RISC or similar platforms, interfacing the module with various peripherals such as mobile handsets, connectivity and RF based wireless transceivers, microcontrollers, displays, external storage, power management, and PCs. Requirements: - A minimum of 10 years experience in systems environments; including strong technical expertise in design of user interface and sensor circuits, RF, analog and digital circuits at the board level. - Strong board level hardware systems experience: Hands on experience and familiarity with simulation, circuit schematic development and layout, test and debug of embedded system PC Boards. - Experience with designing external peripheral devices and sensors on embedded systems including wireless chips and protocols, LCDs, memory, flash based storage, etc. - Good working knowledge of mixed-signal ASIC specifications, architecture, test and debug Extensive design and implementation involving peripherals such as sensors, displays, RF wireless microcontrollers, for portable and consumer products. Responsibilites: - Develop detailed hardware and software requirements from high level system and MRD specifications through customer interaction and collaborations with QMT product management, technology planning and engineering teams. - Manage a team of hardware, software, firmware and mixed signal board level system design and development engineers, including external contract resources. - Lead development of diverse level systems for low power portable devices comprising sensors, user interfaces and control circuits, wireless communication, memory and flash based storage, and display technologies. - Lead development of board level systems (in a hands-on manner) from concept, architecture, block specifications, design and schematics, simulation and timing, layout and synthesis, test, debug, conversion of board level design to mixed signal ASIC, through first ASIC production run. Description of the Ideal Candidate This person has experience with defining ASIC, not designing ASIC. This is not a job for an ASIC designer. Must have experience with: analog design board level systems"
