This includes ensuring compliance with CFR 40, along with any state and local environmental regulations, related to air and water. Summary of Primary Duties: • Supervise the daily activities for the Waste Water Treatment Plant, Chemical Storage Building, and Ground Water Remediation Program. Responsible for developing, coordinating, planning, and administering all environmental related programs. • The incumbent participates in the company's quality initiatives including, but not limited to: TS/ISO certification and maintenance of quality systems in place. • The incumbent participates in the company's safety programs by ensuring a safe and clean working environment, timely reporting of any safety violations, timely reporting of any workplace incidents or injuries, and effective housekeeping. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Supervise the daily activities for the Waste Water Treatment Plant, Chemical Storage Building, and Ground Water Remediation Program; 2. Chemical Management related to the procurement and storage of chemicals used throughout the facility; 3. Regulatory reporting to local, state, and federal agencies as required (RCRA, Title V, etc.); 4. Coordinate activities associated with implementation and compliance with ISO 14001; 5. Develop, implement, and communicate environmental programs applicable to the facility including storm water, wastewater, and air permitting; 6. Coordinate activities related to pollution prevention and waste minimization activities; 7. Provide direction to senior level management in areas of environmental awareness, responsibility, and compliance; 8. Determine training requirements related to Hazardous Materials and Hazardous Waste; 9. Coordinate activities to ensure the workforce realizes their individual contribution in support of the Environmental Policy; 10. Investigate and implement methods to minimize Hazardous Waste disposal costs; 11. Prepare annual budget for Ground Water Remediation activities and Waste Water Treatment Dept.; 12. Develop and implement Emergency contingency Planning, pollution prevention, and waste minimization. Required Experience Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: 1. Bachelor’s degree: preferably in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field; 2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; 3. Experience or knowledge with Environmental regulations for a Manufacturing facility; 4. Five years management experience; 5. Highly organized with knowledge of computers; 6. Interpersonal along with strong team building skills."
