Your responsibilities will include: • Local and intern Local and International studies ranging from conceptual through to feasibility. • Open pit optimisation. • Open pit and/or underground mine designs. • Mine development and scheduling exercises. • Capital and operating cost estimation. • Mining equipment selection and fleet sizing. • Site inspections and mining audits. • Mining reviews and due diligence studies. • Peer review of studies and reports. • Management of mining studies. • Project evaluations and risk assessments. • Mining contract preparation and assessment.• • Supervision, mentoring and training of junior staff. To be successful for this role you must have the following: • Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) or equivalent. • Minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience, ideally at least 5 years site based. • Membership of a recognised organisation. • Strong open pit and/or underground mining experience essential. • Exposure to both open pit and underground would be an advantage. • Advanced technical software skills. • Previous exposure to the consulting environment would be seen as an advantage.
