View company name and apply directly at: http://bit.ly/n8R6op Job Responsibilities This role will develop and lead the Strategy & Business Development functions in support of the Company’s growth, while ensuring the tactical execution of its Long Range Plan. The position will be responsible for the development and implementation of short term and long term revenue and growth strategies. This leadership role will be responsible for developing strategy recommendations based on market conditions and competitive analysis which will accelerate sales growth and expand the Company’s global footprint. The successful candidate will be an “out of the box” thought leader, who is able to synthesize both competitor and marketplace intelligence, along with identifying global opportunities across all channels of distribution. The Director / Vice President will be responsible for developing both strategic and commercially viable plans in response to market trends, consumer needs, and competitor “white space” while formulating research findings into actionable recommendations for organic growth, acquisitions, licensing and co-branding opportunities. Essential Accountabilities Include: - Serve as key advisor to the Company’s CEO, President, and senior leadership team to identify and develop five-year category, licensing, domestic and international business, and M&A strategies. - Lead on-going market assessment to identify attractive opportunities while identifying potential acquisitions, licensing opportunities, joint ventures, partnerships, and organic growth initiatives that support the Company’s strategic imperatives. - Manage the Company’s internal and external research activities, including qualitative and quantitative research methods, demographic and psychographic studies and market intelligence. - Develop an annual business development plan that identifies and prioritizes the most attractive opportunities within each business area. - Conceptualize and incubate commercially actionable pipeline of new business opportunities, while assigning resources to high priority opportunities. Qualifications - Accomplished, results orientated executive with experience in a variety of sales, business development, licensing, finance and strategy roles of progressively greater responsibility. - Possesses strong commercial sensibility and broad market perspective to act as a strategic sounding partner to the CEO, President and senior leadership team. - Demonstrates highly developed interpersonal skills for negotiations with key stakeholders, such as active listening and influencing skills and relationship management. - Graduate degree in a relevant discipline or MBA is preferred."
