ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Manages plans and coordinates work activity with supervisors. Coordinates production activities and provides guidance to manufacturing process plan. Responsible for personnel, subcontractor requirements, material, capital, facility and equipment need Prepares and conducts performance appraisals and evaluations for direct reports according to company guidelines. Oversees manufacturing activities to comply with efficiencies of operations to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays. Responsible for safety compliance of the facility and assist in coordinating safety activities with plant management. Helps coordinates environmental efforts with plant management. Responsible for overseeing outsourcing measures. Works with material management to provide optimal efficiencies and coordination of materials needed. Provides various production reports to the Plant Manager and corporate entities. Plans and coordinates expansion or additional construction of the facility. Coordinates and communicates with other Production Managers and Superintendents in divisional facilities. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages five subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 75 employees in the Fabrication Department. Is responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees: planning, assigning and complaints and resolving problems.
