"Approach People is currently recruiting for one of his clients, major company of the pharmaceutical industry based in Switzerland, an accountant POSITION PURPOSE The position holder is responsible for the right declaration of accounting treatments in the balance sheet and profit & loss statement. He defines all closing postings during the preparation of monthly-, quarterly- and year-end financial statements according to IFRS and local GAAP. In addition the position holder is responsible for treasury and financial tasks within BIF. The position holder will be responsible for the optimization of accounting related processes together with our shared service center. VALUE ADDED/POSITION PURPOSE General Ledger:  Be responsible for the evaluation, posting and the documentation of all general ledger related tasks (e.g. Inter-company issues, taxes, FX trades, interests, accruals etc.)  Create and monitor special General Ledger postings, e.g. provisions, HR, rebates and commissions  Analyze and check the General Ledger Accounts and perform the necessary corrections for being in line with the Group Accounting Principles  Be responsible for the BIF financial planning  Support the Tax Manager in preparing of tax related reports  Support the Department Head in the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities  Contact for External and Internal Auditors in the area of General Ledger  ICS testings and controls in the area of General Ledger SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS  Swiss nationality or valid work permit  Previous experience of minimum 3 years in a similar position required  Communication skills: excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken), German and French being an asset  Excellent knowledge of SAP FI/CO and Excel  Being specialized on local GAAP Accounting and in IFRS, tax accounting issues e.g. tax balance sheet and tax planning  Planning and organizational skills  Ability to work in a cross-cultural company  Analytical abilities, initiative, ability to react quickly and take sound decisions, flexibility, resourcefulness as well as the capability to work accurately while under tight deadlines  Personal reliability, integrity and discretion Permanent contrat Position based in Switzerland Please send your CV in English (Word) at david@approachpeople.com"
