This position will be reporting into the Chief Compliance Officer RESPONSIBILITIES: Internal Control. The Compliance Professional will develop, implement and maintain all compliance procedures and monitor results to report to management. To establish accountability and to promote professional integrity, this individual will author or approve all manuals, documents and disclosure statements relating to the internal operations of the enterprise; review and ensure that all other departmental procedures are applicable to the specific department and function. This person will also be responsible for maintaining the control process of the organization and as the internal auditor, monitoring results to report to management. Regulatory and External Compliance. The Compliance Professional will be responsible for monitoring compliance with regulatory, client mandated and internal restrictions. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of accomplishments in the area of internal audit/compliance. A working knowledge of financial controls as they relate to an asset management company is required. Candidates will have excellent knowledge of the securities regulatory codes and procedures, and will have an in-depth knowledge of compliance software and internal reporting systems, ideally Portia.
