Social Impact Assessment Senior Expert Austria, Vienna Tasks • Representing the Investor and safeguarding the investors interests in the development and implementation process of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) according requirements of • International Financing Institution (IFI) and specific sector requirements • Supervising and managing Contractors responsible for the development of the ESIA • Interaction with IFI, including i.a. technical meetings and accompanying due diligence activities of the IFI’s • Interaction with the competent environmental authorities and other parties involved (permitting negotiations, public hearings) • Coordination of the individual in-country ESIA activities and assurance to of compliance against corporate standards and IFI requirements. • Ensuring compliance of all ESIA documents to corporate standards and IFI regulations • Reviewing/approving ESIA documents issued by Contractors • Managing and actively contributing the development of Environmental and Social Action and Management Plans (ESAP/ESMP) • Managing and actively contributing the implementation of ESAP and ESMP • Permanent monitoring/reporting on the status of the environmental works carried out by Contractors including the process of obtaining the Environmental Permit • Reporting and briefing to the management Requirements • Degree in environmental engineering • At least 5 years intensive experience in environmental issues in gas and/or oil industry • Experience and knowledge on European EIA legislation and conventions • Experience and knowledge on IFI’s Environmental & Social requirements (eg.
