"Software Application Developer – Boston, MA Our client north of Boston is seeking a Software Application Developer for a permanent position to start ASAP. This position is a direct report to the Director of Technology. Required skills and experience: · Previous experience working in Software Application Development · Design and development of software components that are part of the primary of the system. · Develop stand-alone applications that provide ongoing or one-time functions. · Development, maintenance and management of various software applications · Customer facing services or support back-office operations. · Experience with Java in a spring framework running on Tomcat/Unix, utilizing ActiveMQ messaging with backend MySQL, Oracle, Berkeley DB and Lucene databases/indexes. · Experience with Java, SQL (MySQL/Oracle), Unix command line proficiency, Netbeans, Spring · Oversee the operation of the system, which operate on a 24x7 basis. · Monitoring system performance to ensure effective operation and responding to automated alerts. · System and network administration experience is a plus (RedHat, CentOS, Dell, Cisco).
