This is a newly created role in North America to manage the strategic buying of beans and semi-finished products as well as futures market risk position. You will manage a small team and have full EBIT responsibility for Cocoa Sourcing in North America. Job Description Reporting to the Vice President Cocoa Procurement based in Europe, you will be responsible for Oversee and manage the supply of cocoa beans and cocoa sourcing position for the North American facilities Strategic decisions of buying 3rd party semi-finished products and of inter-company beans and semi-finished products Actively trade futures for hedging purposes Pricing of cocoa components in chocolate in close collaboration with pricing Representative in cocoa committees and actively network within the cocoa industry Provide market intelligence and advise chocolate and cocoa customers either through customer visits or conference calls Coordinate purchases of beans and semi-finished products with European trading desk Job Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Liberal Arts ( Masters in Statistics, Agricultural Economic, Math, or Quantitative Finance is desirable) 5 + years experience in soft commodity trading and /or economic analysis Solid understanding of futures and option trading strategies with commodities such as: sugar, soya, coffee, cocoa, grain, cotton, oilseeds or agricultural products Knowledgeable in econometrics, market structures and terminal market economies Experienced in futures and options for hedging purposes Managed a small team of direct reports combined experience working for an international organization Please apply to usa@chronosconsulting.com"
