"Contract position-12 months Send resumes to:bciociola@covexllc.com DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES >> • Design and develop logical and physical data models that utilize concepts such as Star Schema, Snowflake Schema and Slowly Changing Dimensions • Design and develop complex Informatica ETL processes that integrate data from multiple sources including SAP, Oracle, flat files, etc. • Perform business analysis and develop data flow diagrams and mapping specifications • Interact with business users to gather data requirements • Give direction on parameters for construction of appropriate test cases for validation of ETL processes • Provide guidance on the operational considerations and administrative processes for management of PowerCenter and ETL processes • Interact with the technical architect for identification and design of monitoring processes • Provide guidance and work with the data architect in reviewing and validating the data warehouse data model • Assist Informatica and Microstrategy developers in debugging performance related challenges • Write and maintain Unix shell scripts • Write and design job schedules using Autosys job scheduler SKILLS >> Key requirements are: • Proficient in building logical and physical data models that utilize concepts such as Star Schema, Snowflake Schema and Slowly Changing Dimensions • Able to design / develop complex ETL processes that integrate data from multiple sources including SAP, Oracle, flat files, etc. • Able to lead design reviews of Informatica PowerCenter ETL processes for the development team • Proficient in principles and methodologies related to Data Governance and Data Stewardship • Able to schedule, prioritize and manage workload • Able to work independently • Able to review teams development work for quality standards and completeness against requirements • Able to perform business analysis and develop data flow diagrams and mapping specifications • Able to give direction on parameters for construction of appropriate test cases for validation of ETL processes • Able to provide guidance on the operational considerations and administrative processes for management of PowerCenter and ETL processes • Able to interact with the technical architect for identification and design of monitoring processes • Able to work with the data architect in reviewing and validating the data warehouse data model • Able to develop / maintain standard Unix shell scripts • Able to provide performance improvement related guidance to the Informatica team members • Able to work with a job scheduler application to design and schedule Informatica workflows EDUCATION >> BS or equivalent degree"
