Sales Engineer Europe in Aberdeen, United Kingdom Objectives of the Position The candidate’s prime responsibility will be to promote and obtain sales contracts for Tesco’s Casing Drilling™, Casing Running and Top Drive products and services while enhancing Tesco’s image in the drilling industry.  Attainment of sales and margin targets is a prime directive.  Internal Relationships European Regional Manager Product Line Managers   Principal Tasks Describe and sell the Casing Drive System™ Describe and sell Casing Running/Reaming and MCLRS™ services and determine correct applications. Describe and sell the Casing Drilling process and determine correct applications. Prepare price tenders/quotes for Tesco products and services consistent with Tesco policies and customer needs. Ensuring operations constraints are accounted for in the tender/quote. Coordinate and maintain product lead times, technical specifications, part numbers, regional compliance with Tesco Manufacturing and Engineering Analyze economic aspects of project prior to and post job. Perform technical presentations to industry groups (SPE, AADE, ADDE, etc.) Prepare and submit Top Drive tenders and quotes. Other duties as assigned. Competences Required For Effective Performance Ability to read and analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or Sr. Management.  Ability to open doors and consolidate relationships with key customer stakeholders for all tenders and quotes.   Physical Demands Requires travel to/from customer office/ job site via airplane, helicopter, boat, or by driving their personal or rented vehicle.  May require extended work hours during customer operations.   Work Environment The work environment is primarily office based in Aberdeen. Client and regional offices are expected to be attended.
