Position Title Sales Director Europe – Skincare – London #1440 Relocation Yes Location London Company looking for a European Sales Director. * European based in Europe (preferably non-French) * Retail experience in skincare and specially for brands with own stores and department store counters distribution * Experience in Salons is an extra * Corporate structure experience * ~30% travel The role of the Sales Director is to optimize international distributor network by evaluating our existing base with the goal of maximizing penetration and increasing sales in a significant way. In cases where existing networks will be retained, the Sales Director will be responsible for not only supporting and maintaining the existing business but also rapidly growing sales to meet ownership expectations. In the case of a new market (or a market with a distributor that will be eliminated), the Sales Director will identify, conduct due diligence and develop distribution opportunities for the VP of International to review. Primary Functions: * Develop annual budgets/forecasts per country and then execute on sales programs with new and existing distributors to ensure expectations are met or exceeded. * Continuously monitor the performance of each country and with such information combined with international market trends, adjust sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions in each region. * Collaborate with the team on the development of regional product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategies to produce the highest possible long-term international market share. * Provide updated monthly forecast of business to allow for JIT inventory management. * Review quarterly and annual marketing plan for assigned territory. Provide complete business review, development of alternative/ contingency plans, and overall strategy for the Area. * Review major consumer promotions and trade programs with direct reports designed to gain volume and profits. Adjust sales & marketing programs to the needs of the market place. * Maintain ongoing communication with direct reports and distributors and corporate marketing to learn about changing market conditions and modify promotion programs to support market changes. * Monitor the Coop Budget and collateral allocations for your territory. * Manage and control all lines of the regional P&L, and informed on a regular basis the US for any changes vs. budget. Education and Experience: * Must have already a strong Management and Education experience over 7 years in the Cosmetics Industry in Territory. * Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred. * Fluency in the relevant languages of territory preferred; not required. Bottom line requirements we need: 1. Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred). 2. 7 + years of Sales Management in the Cosmetics Industry in Europe. 3. Retail experience in skincare and specially for brands with own stores and department store counters distribution.
