Salary $80-$95K + 10%-15% Bonus potential We are seeking an experienced, energetic Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager (HSE) to join our North America Wood Coatings division located in High Point, NC. The Wood Coatings division manufactures technology leading OEM & distribution coatings for the global furniture, cabinetry, flooring and building products markets. The HSE Manager role reports to the divisional Manufacturing Director. This position is responsible for the direction, management and implementation of regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and fire prevention initiatives for our Wood Group operation which include: manufacturing, warehousing, and color/design studios. Specific responsibilities include: • Manage and maintain all operating permits; coordinate and complete governmental reports required by agencies for compliance • Management of PSM programs • Identify and implement applicable OSHA, SARA, Title III, RCRA, CAA, CWA and other regulatory requirements • Lead and partner with management when implementing new or updated HSE prevention and compliance programs • Lead environmental compliance (hazardous waste, air emissions, water) • Coordinate the implementation of safety rules, policies, safe employee training programs • Coordinate and manage compliance and injury prevention programs for all Wood locations in the High Point region • Investigate accidents and environmental incidents to recommend policies, procedures, and/or other actions to correct problems or prevent future occurrence • Incident investigation and root cause analysis • HSE auditing • Management of industrial hygiene programs • Travel 10 – 15% Qualifications: • The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree in a Environmental Studies, Regulatory Affairs, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Environmental engineering disciplines • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the chemical industry • Proven track record of strong leadership skills • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization • Professional certification (certified safety professional and/or certified hazardous materials manager) and experience with PSM program implementation is strongly preferred • Technical knowledge of: OSHA, RCRA, DOT, CWA, CAA, TSCA regulations • OSHA Process Safety Management implementation experience • Experience with behavior-based safety (e.g. STOP, BST) and root cause investigation techniques (e.g., Taproot) SEND A WORD RESUME TO JTHOMPSON@TESCAREERS.COM http://bull.hn/l/IVQH/"
