"Overall Purpose of Job: Data Architect and Lead for designing data warehouse interfaces and dimensional models for financial institutions. Must understand a variety of financial products such as derivatives, securitization, fixed income, collateralized obligations and commercial lending. Hands-on experience with ETL, BI and SQL required. Experience in SDLC waterfall and agile methodologies, developing business and functional requirements as part of a business analyst role. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with business and technology teams. . This position will also be responsible for mentoring team members in the ETL, data design, and data delivery components of the team. Design the Data Warehouse model for interface with Core Banking, Central Reference Directory Layer. Interact with users to identify and manage the requirements and deliver results appropriately Provide Production and Administrative Support as required and mentor staff. Mentor team members in ETL, Data Model, and Data delivery components of the Data Warehouse Ongoing research into new technologies and end user tools to enhance the productivity and quality of the team including data quality and data governance initiatives Participate in analysis and estimation of business requirements and SRDS Experience/Abilities: (Detail years of work experience required and any specific skills, special aptitudes or knowledge) Should have an excellent understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and a general understanding of overall banking business and subject areas such as risk management and profitability analysis. Must be experienced in development with leading ETL tools such as Informatica, Data Flux, Business Objects and DB2. He/she should have strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving ability, and leadership qualities. Must be able to decipher user needs and develop supporting high-level and detailed designs. Requires experience in all phases of a project life cycle with design responsibilities when implementing large projects. 7+ years of extensive IT experience, 5+ years of data warehouse design, 5+ large project design, and ETL experience required. Education: (Minimum educational requirements, professional qualifications and specific training) Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 5+ years of IT experience IT Jobs in US for (US & Canadian passport holders only).
