If you are available and interested, or know someone else who may be looking, please contact us at career@microagility.com Title: Information Privacy Consultant Location: Jersey City, NJ Type: CONTRACT C2C/ W2 Rate: Market Duration: Long term Job ID: 2205a-001IPC JOB DESCRIPTION The privacy consultant will assist with privacy concerns in client organization as requested. The role is anticipated to include watching over ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of; and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures. Immediate Supervisor: Director of Information Privacy Responsibilities may include: - Provides development guidance and assists in the identification, implementation, and maintenance of organization information privacy policies and procedures in coordination with organization management and administration, the Privacy Committee, and legal counsel. - Direct responsibility for writing policies and procedures which will be converted into the Archer Risk Management System. - Works with organization senior management to establish an organization-wide Privacy Oversight Process. - Serves in a leadership role for the Privacy Committee’s activities. - Performs initial and periodic information privacy risk assessments and conducts related ongoing compliance monitoring activities in coordination with the client’s compliance and operational assessment functions. - Works with legal counsel and management, key departments, and committees to monitor the organization's compliance with requirements to maintain appropriate privacy and confidentiality consent, authorization forms, and information notices and materials reflecting current organization and legal practices and requirements. - Works cooperatively with the client’s Director of Information Policy and other applicable organizations in identifying and addressing concerns, amending, and restricting access - Initiates, facilitates and promotes activities to foster information privacy awareness within the organization and related entities. - May serve as information privacy consultant to the organization, its stakeholders and contractors as needed. Required Skills/experience: - 5-7 years experience in Information Privacy Consultancy - Strong writing policies and procedures along with strong analytical skills - Must be familiar with Archer Risk Management . - Knowledge and experience in information privacy laws, access, release of information, and release control technologies. - Demonstrated organization, facilitation) communication, and presentation skills.
