"Looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager in Brisbane, QLD Australia About the Role and Company   Our client is seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager based in Brisbane, but with a significant amount of travel nationally, and Internationally. The ideal candidate will have a track record of experience of minerals/mining and a scientific/technical background would be a distinct advantage   The focus will be on developing preferred supplier relationships with relevant multi national corporations and emerging opportunities. This will involve a strong understanding of the technical needs of customers, and communicating these to R&D to develop new and innovative solutions   Key Responsibilities   Communicate strongly and maintain close, pro-active involvement with customers Coordinate the preparation of proposals, bids and tenders to develop demand and meet the requirement for competitive bids Prepare information on products and services for effective marketing channels, including trade press articles and technical brochures Assist with the coordination, planning and execution of trade shows Assist in the identification of customers’ on-line analysis needs and communicate these to R&D, Manufacturing and Services groups Qualifications in Science and/or Marketing desirable Team oriented, but with the ability to work independently in remote areas Achieve preferred supplier status with target corporations Communicate strongly and maintain close, pro-active involvement with customers and projects offering growth and strong sales potential. Prepare proposals, bids and tenders to develop competitive bids. Present and follow up sales opportunities. Finalise contract documents and implementation for successful sales. Follow the handover process to Contracts Manager. Review unsuccessful sales to determine reasons for non-sale Develop marketplace intelligence to identify market structures and opportunities.  Develop, prioritise and maintain a database of opportunities Prepare information on International products and services for effective marketing channels, including trade journals, seminars and presentations to existing and potential customers.  Provide effective delivery and feedback Marketing, preparation of quarterly and rolling annual sales forecasts, establishing quarterly and annual sales goals for products in minerals industry, develop sales strategies and secure orders   Personal Abilities   Capacity to relate effectively with management, other members of the team and globally with a diverse customer base to develop markets and achieve sales, including   capacity to identify customers needs and propose effective solutions and to be convincing on the merits of on-line scanning solutions the ability to quickly acquire technical understanding of International product/services range, relevant industries, technology requirements of the marketplace capacity to negotiate and sell technical systems   Experience   sales of technical solutions to mining or minerals processing industries experience in t... http://bull.hn/l/PV79/"
