We take pride in the quality of our code and our user experience, and we're looking for like-minded core engineers to join us and make a difference!   Responsibilities: - Perform "Full Stack" / "Vertical Slice" Java software development for the core web application, from server-side Spring MVC to the Hibernate persistence layer with MySQL and everything in between. - Utilize NoSQL datastores like Cassandra and MongoDB to implement complex data/relationship algorithms. - Implement and maintain core transactional and messaging services in a Java and Spring IoC container environment. - Develop and maintain remote client APIs and frameworks. - Implement and maintain core REST + JSON APIs and interfaces. - Utilize cutting-edge Java open-source frameworks and technologies. - Integrate with 3rd-party API cloud-hosted services and APIs. - Leverage the latest cloud technologies and integrate with and deploy to a 100% cloud production infrastructure.   Requirements: - Expert Java platform experience: 5 or more years deploying production apps on the JVM and Java platform. - Strong Spring Framework experience (4 years or more preferred): Spring Core, Spring AOP, Spring MVC, Spring Integration, etc. - Strong Hibernate or JPA experience(4 years or more preferred) - Strong RDBMS experience (3+years on MySQL, Oracle, etc) - Strong English language proficiency - A self-starter and self-learner with a good sense of humor: you know how to RTFM   Bonus Skills: - Start-up Experience - Experience with NoSQL datastores like Cassandra, MongoDB, Amazon DynamoDB - Experience with a network distributed cache (e.g. Coherence, TerraCotta, Memcached, etc). - Experience with enterprise messaging APIs (JMS, AMQP, etc) and servers (RabbitMQ) - HTML5 / JavaScript / CSS3 proficiency - Alternative languages on the JVM, e.g. Groovy, Kotlin, Smalltalk, et. al. - Experience with secure production deployments to cloud environments like Amazon AWS or Rackspace. - Experience with open-source technologies and communities.
