Due to recent expansion, they are currently looking to hire a number Application Architect for their China offices. This person will participate in setting the strategic Application Architecture direction for projects. The Application Architect will serve as a partner and an Consultant to clients to make sure that the Application Architecture is aligned to customer business goals and brings value to the business. Job Responsibilities: Guides the development of Application Architecture/Systems roadmaps & drives dialog with Design, Development, Business Architects and other key players to advance Architecture forward Interfaces with other client and onsite, offsite teams to construct Architecture deliverables such as Strategies, Blueprints, etc. Provides guidance on key strategic projects Utilizes industry knowledge to apply the most current and appropriate ideas in a forward-looking manner to support the business & also to anticipate new opportunities Influences the acceptance of new technologies that drive consistency, efficiency & agility to the organization Qualifications In depth understanding of application development, technologies and software development lifecycle. Acts as the lead technical expert for areas in the Application Architecture Domain. Experienced with web technologies/tools, middleware integration technologies/tools, key packaged application (IBM, Tibco, Oracle, etc.) Experienced in Application Architecture and/or Systems Solutions Architecture; with minimum of 8 years of technical background Ideally you are experienced with Enterprise Architecture Framework such as TOGAF Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken Evidenced by the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization Effective use of communication tools/methods such as Power Point, Visio, UML/Architecture Modelling as well as the ability to effectively deliver presentations Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills - lead, collaborate, facilitate, and negotiate as necessary Must be a self-starter with the skills required to be able to motivate and influence across IT departments Experience in telcom/banking industry a strong plus Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science Project and program management skills a plus Can work flexible hours Mandarin speakers needed.
