"The Engineering Manager within the B2B Energy Services team plays a leading role in the projects we deliver for a range of sectors from industrial, commercial property, public sector, education retail and SME. The role-holder reports to the Service Delivery Manager and is office based with a requirement to visit customers and third party delivery partners throughout the UK and occasionally Europe. The Engineering Manager will frequently meet and work with customers as part of our key account approach. It will be expected for the role-holder to provide advice on energy management to expert and non-expert end users and decision makers. It will be important to address topics of a technical nature without losing sight of strategic and commercial objectives. About The Role This role is responsible for leading the team of Energy Engineers to successfully deliver their projects. It is responsible to conduct energy efficiency audits, produce energy efficiency reports, manage the delivery of low to medium value projects, ensure all health and safety regulations are followed and prove the achieved energy savings through recognised methodology. The Engineering Manager will cover a wide range of topics involving analysis of current energy uses on a customer site and identifying opportunities for cost effective efficiency gains. They will often be related to electricity use and electrical systems, building fabric, HVAC, lighting and Building Management Systems, on-site renewable generation. There will be a key requirement to work collaboratively across the EDF Group to ensure products are communicated and delivered to customers so as to enhance the customer experience and to provide competitive differentiation. Projects are required to be project managed to a high standard to ensure high quality projects delivered on time, to budget and in accordance with the relevant health and safety regulations and EDF Energy Zero Harm policy. About You A good engineering degree is required or a demonstration of ability to the same level delivered in a working environment. To be successful in this role you will have experience in the areas of energy management, process engineering and/or related fields with a track record of delivering successful technical projects through to completion. Knowledge of health and safety regulations governing electrical and mechanical systems and construction is required along with experience of working with B2B organisations in either the private or public sectors. You wil have a good understanding of the B2B energy services markets, conducting energy efficiency audits, producing energy efficiency reports and managing the delivery of low to medium value projects.
