Post Graduate Diploma in Operations / Supply Chain Management 15-20 years in Operations and Supply Chain Management and at least 10 years in a position of similar responsibility preferably in FMCG company. . DESIRED SKILLS Functional / Behavioral:- Effective use of Manpower, Material & Machine. Monitoring of expenses wrt budget allocation & timely action for nonadherence. Planning & organizing Analytical ability Strategic thinking Leadership ROLE OBJECTIVE:- Operational / Production Management :- Ensures optimal resource utilisation & supply chain streamlining by effective planning & coordination between processes such as production planning, sourcing, logistics and manufacturing units. Ensures focus is maintained for productions as per business requirements. Setting up production targets optimising man, machine, materials utilisation. Adherence to Legal / Safety / Environment norms. MIS analysis & effective control system. Maintain close harmony amongst the employees. Quality Control Takes responsibility of ensuring quality adherence as per quality standards for international and domestic production. Takes overall responsibility for implementation of new initiatives and standardising their systems and processes. Production Planning, Sourcing & Logistics Ensures coordination in the supply chain between processes before and after production. Ensures the formulation of sourcing based on criticality of requirements, cost control norms and quality specifications. Ensures supply chain efficiencies by streamlining processes Financial Takes responsibility of improving profitability by identifying cost reduction opportunities through increasing Supply Chain efficiency and optimal utilisation of resources. Ensures the availability of information on key operational and cost parameters at every stage of the supply chain. Takes responsibility for increasing profitability by strategic purchase decisions and sourcing. People Takes responsibility for people development initiatives and building up of in-house capabilities and develops succession plans for key positions in the department. Interacts regularly with process heads to identify and remove any obstacles to the fostering of an efficient and value driven work culture Ensures timely PMS implementation and adherence to prescribed procedures. Ensures adequate motivation and retention of all employees reporting to the position Provides the necessary leadership and guidance to key employees and top performers through mentoring and identification of best practices to enhance performance efficiencies."
