Title: Java/J2EE Developer Location: New York, NY Type: CONTRACT Rate: DOE Duration: Long Term JOB DESCRIPTION This position is required to lead the analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of medium to very complex web services components using Java/J2EE technologies. This position will be responsible for taking high level architecture and design direction to then independently lead and own remaining detailed design, development, testing, and deployment activities Skills requirements: - Responsible for the overall system design and architecture for assigned projects as well as any of its associated application reference architectures - Extensive experience architecting and developing large-scale J2EE applications - Strong experience with J2EE and Web services development technologies - Identifies reusable code required for our code library and ensures the high quality creation of the code - Defines, communicates and enforces coding standards - Suggests alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently, and/or with greater reusability, and / or longer life - Possesses knowledge of OO concepts, internet based architectures, client server architectures; Service Oriented Architecture based component development - Demonstrates expertise in Web Service security using industry recommended best practices - Possesses significant knowledge of SQL, API development in distributed data environments - Good communication skills – both oral and written, capable to present status to management Education: - BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent; advance degree desirable Experience: - IT experience of more than 10 years and as java web services developer over 5 with Java, J2EE - Java Web service, JSP/JSF/Servlets/JSTL, Struts, Spring framework, Hibernate, AJAX, JavaScript - Knowledge of integrating existing applications into J2EE architecture - Strong knowledge of WebSphere Application server, RAD 7.x, Web services frameworks like Axis, JAX-RPC, WS- Security etc - Strong familiarity with design/integration patterns and development best practices, including agile methodologies.
