View company name and apply directly at: http://bit.ly/o5hlRb Job Description: Responsibilities: The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to provide support to our fixed income investment team through the production of competitive/comparative analysis; attribution and characteristics studies. This will include reporting analysis that is performed on a regular basis e.g. monthly, quarterly as well as in response to one-off ad-hoc requests to provide information which will assist the portfolio managers to evaluate different scenarios in the portfolios. The position will also monitor fixed income pricing for reasonableness and perform price challenges with pricing vendors as necessary e.g. IDC; Pricing Direct. Another aspect of the role will be to assist with the daily oversight of the outsourced operational aspect of our fixed income strategy as well as to provide backup for the analytics for our equity business. Qualifications: It is essential that the candidate be familiar with the fixed income market place and have a good understanding of bond math, attribution and how portfolios and trading work. A minimum of 4-6 years of similar experience at a fixed income or value-style firm is desired. Knowledge of equities and global experience would be a plus but is not required. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and will be pursuing or will have completed the CFA. He/she will have superior analytical ability and quantitative aptitude as well as critical thinking powers and great attention to detail. The ability to be resourceful, creative, versatile, work autonomously, as well as in a team environment, is essential for this role as are good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a deadline drive environment. A high level of proficiency in Factset, Bloomberg and Excel are also a must."
