Responsibilities • The successful candidate will be providing L3 level support to large and mixed storage environment of the customer. • This candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, the patience to troubleshoot critical issues under pressure. • The candidate will have in depth and cross-vendor expertise with different storage technologies and ideally from a Unix background. • The candidate will be able to perform following tasks: ○ Service provisioning requests for new storage. ○ Work with vendor for BreakFix. ○ SAN attach/detach new storage arrays/switches/hosts. ○ Apply firmware/do maintenance tasks on storage/switch/HBAs. ○ Analyze performance bottlenecks, suggest and implement improvements and work arounds. ○ Produce capacity planning reports and be able to forecast storage growth. ○ Implement/Monitor and support any DR function(s). Qualifications • Expertise with at least 2 of the following storage vendors' products: ○ EMC DMX/CX, HP XP/EVA, NetApp (Optional: Storedge) • In depth knowledge of at least one of the following Fibre switch vendor products/software: ○ Brocade, Cisco • Experience with replication technologies like SRDF/TimeFinder • Experience with management software like Ionix Control Center, HP Storage essentials. • Knowledge and experience with multipathing software on the host(s).
