Job Responsibilities • Ownership of customer support from level one production support to developer support. • Troubleshooting customer production problems, often directly on their machines with VPN access, and quickly restoring down systems. • Working with customer developers to help them program against Broadway’s software. • Ownership of knowledge base and customer ticket entry system. • Generation of knowledge base content and other user-facing information to continuously improve Broadway’s “self-support” model. • Software release and deployment. • Producing weekly support status reports and following-through with customers about their Broadway support experience. • Ownership of automated build process. Job Requirements • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to learn a complex system quickly. • Superior verbal and written communication skills with patience and a friendly demeanor as a customer facing member of Broadway. • Self-motivation and discipline with great follow-through. • Proven problem solving abilities. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science-related field. Required Experience • 3 years providing support to financial customers, preferably traders/trading firms. • 3 years communicating with users and executing on feedback. • 1-3 years experience with the software life cycle and successful delivery of products. • 1-3 years creating and managing build scripts and makefiles on Windows. The candidate should be comfortable with building a makefile (GNU make) from scratch, if necessary. • 1-3 years with at least one scripting language (C#, Perl, Python, etc...). • 1-3 years experience with source code management systems (SVN, CVS, ClearCase). • Basic experience with C++ or other object oriented language"
