Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as proficient in multiple design techniques. This position should typically be used for an advanced or lead level resource. Additional Description Details: • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic • Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation • 5+ years experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation • 5+ years development experience with Java • 3+ years experience working in both Unix (AIX preferred) and Windows environments • Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment • Test-infected attitude (strong desire to perform thorough and exhaustive unit, integration and system testing). Test-driven development is encouraged Desired Skills: • Demonstrated experience with JMS • Spring 2.5.5 or higher • Subversion • Exposure to Open Source technologies (Junit, XDoclet, Log4J, Apache-anything) • Strong SQL skills - knowing how to write SQL that performs is desired"
