Position: Java Lead (Java/OOPS, Multithreading) Total experience: 6+ yrs Job Requirements : Desired Candidate Profile Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience 6+ years experience with most recent Development experience in a Unix environment Highly experienced in Java programming language Experience in object oriented development methodologies and design patterns Experience using a source code management tool Experience with an Integrated Development Environment such as Eclipse Proficient at developing SQL Must have Oracle development expertise Proficient at Unix shell scripting (korn, bourne, bash) Perl scripting experience in Unix desirable Solid understanding of system architecture Solid understanding of statistical and benchmark testing Strong telecommunications and wireless industry knowledge Strong working knowledge of software design processes and methods Strong analytical and problem solving skills Working knowledge of company products, systems and applications Strong knowledge of third party vendor tools (e.g. monitoring, scalability, performance tuning) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Required Interpersonal Skills: Ownership/Accountability for tasks/projects. Work well within a team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Independent work habits. The Datanet application is a Java batch application running on UNIX. Datanet team currently does not do any web or messaging development. Experience with GSM TAP, GSM TD35, and/or general telecommunications development background would be a definite plus. In addition, the candidate as potential co-worker of the Event/Datanet team, should be informed that the 'normal' working hours would be from 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm IST.
