We are expanding the charter of our team and looking to build software validation competency. We are looking for a strong Software Validation Engineer to join the Windows software development team to jointly develop a next generation Windows-based Tablet with Microsoft for launch in 2012. You should be able to join the team and help us in defining and then executing the software test methodologies and processes. You will be part of the feature development team responsible for tracking the test execution, reporting out on product health and helping management in deciding when to ship the product. Specifically you will help us in validating USB OTG, Sensor drivers, I/O drivers or helping us with setting-up and executing Windows Logo Kit tests. You should have a passion to work on innovative platform products. The job will also involve working with third party vendors or with MSFT, so you should be able to work effectively in a team environment (including geos) and have good verbal and written communication skills. Required Skills You should possess a minimum level of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer sciences or a Master's degree would be an added advantage. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in developing and debugging software implementing, writing code, QA, testing, validation, automating tests, driver validation, WHQL (predecessor to WLK), etc. Conversant in software development life cycle and capable of defining QA processes including setting defect tracking system Requirements gathering, use case definition. Writing test plans, creation and/or execution of tests Software quality assurance methodologies Experience in Windows* Internals OS (preferred), knowledge of C, C++ or C#. Experience in delivering products for various Windows with emphasis on WinCE Experience leading a team with excellent communications skills (verbal and written) Experience in validating drivers, apps and end-to-end products.
