"A successful and growing Retail company based in Boston is looking for a Java Developer to assist in a web site redesign and a number of ongoing projects. This is a great opportunity for a motivated Java Developer to build his/her portfolio with a leading brand name. Reporting to the Director of Development you will require the following skills set and experience: · 2 – 5 years’ experience as a Java Developer · Develop enhancements for and provide support to J2EE application · Develop new business functions, including web services, using the principles, practices, and deliverables of the Rational Unified Process · Troubleshoot, fix, and test issues/defects - resulting from either the change control process or production activities · Excellent core J2SE 6 programming ability · Strong analytical and problem solving skills · Experience and Strong knowledge of the following tools/ technologies & frameworks: Eclipse, Java Server Faces, Facelets, Spring, Apache Trinidad · Application/Portal server: Weblogic 10.x · Strong knowledge of J2EE design patterns and web services · Knowledge of Java community tools/frameworks/app. Servers preferred but not a requirement · Subversion, DBUnit, Junit, JBOSS · Experience with web service development will be a plus · Bachelor’s degree with a major in the field of computer or information science If you have the skills and experience to be considered for this position, do not hesitate and apply today!
