The company seeks a motivated individual to join the existing compliance staff. This person will have the opportunity to get involved with a variety of functions. This is a unique opportunity for someone with the requisite skills who is up to the challenge of working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include:  Researching, understanding, and interpreting SEC Registered Investment Advisor laws and regulations and similar regulatory areas such as ERISA.  Interacting with the firm’s external compliance consultants and law firms on compliance and regulatory matters.  Developing an understanding of the firm’s business and the regulatory framework in which it operates.  Working with the CCO and General Counsel to ensure adherence to various legal and regulatory requirements and industry best practices.  Working with other departments of the firm such as Operational Due Diligence, ("ODD”), Marketing, Operations, and the Investment Committee on various compliance projects such as the development of policies, procedures, and monitoring systems.  Managing the firm’s compliance system recordkeeping, reporting, and calendar functions.  Working with the CCO to evaluate, test, implement, and manage compliance controls. Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in compliance, operations, legal, or other equivalent functional areas. Exposure to an investment management or other financial industry regulatory compliance environment is a plus. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to exercise good judgment, be trustworthy in handling confidential information, and be effective at managing multiple tasks at one time.
