Play a supportive role to identify, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future commodity needs through internal assessment of current & future related commodities needs and external assessment of market trends & competitive suppliers to leverage changes in specifications, processes, systems and products to lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis of total requirements, including quality, cost, availability, and assurance of supply. Manages and facilitates all facets of supplier quality activities within and/or across the organization; including development of new suppliers and the supplier assessment process. More proactively work on the quality assurance in supplier sites and sample qualification process to maintain the consistent quality level from suppliers May provide (on behalf of the Commodity quality) monthly performance feedback to targeted suppliers and coordinate the Supplier PPM Performance reviews, etc. Manages and optimizes supplier quality partners in performance, including continuous improvement, innovations. Creates and maintains mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous quality improvement. Direct and/or manage a strategic group of supplier engineering professionals; including oversight for quantitative & qualitative supplier analysis, capabilities, goals, objectives, and financial position.
