"Description: Please send resume to melanie.donus@rightexecutivesearch.com Industry: Expert Network/Consulting *Must have experience with consulting, research or IT services sales Manage a team of 4-5 people within the US 50-60% travel Position Overview Seeking candidates for Vice President to lead a team of approximately 8-10 US-based sales professionals. The VP will lead the team responsible for developing existing business relationships with life sciences and diversified industrials clients in North America. The team is a high-revenue growth group, and the VP of this team will be expected to accelerate this growth by managing the team to establish, deepen and expand relationships with existing client firms. Key Responsibilities The VP role is a sales management position leading a growing team that drives existing business within life sciences and diversified industrials markets. The VP will: • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the territories that executes against a high-revenue growth imperative and increased profitability; • Plan for and execute against a revenue target for a portfolio of clients ; • Lead a small team of direct report sales professionals; • Engage key constituents at clients as a thought partner, with a heavy focus on senior-level decision makers, in order to understand these clients’ work better, differentiate company’s brand, and tailor value proposition to these critical influencers; • Coordinate closely with colleagues across company teams, particularly with stakeholders on client servicing teams; • Adjust the team’s focus and tactics in response to real-time analysis of account activity, usage trends, and company development of new products; • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance. Key performance metrics for this role include the team’s performance relative to retention and growth of existing clients, adoption by clients of new products and systems, and overall development of the account management business team. Candidates for this position should have demonstrated an ability to manage sophisticated B2B relationships, and have prior management responsibility. Candidates should be comfortable articulating the value of our expert network, professional services, and client-facing software systems to clients. Required Skills Qualified candidates will have: • 7-10+ years of demonstrated success selling information services and solutions to corporations • Proven experience managing a high-performing sales team in the B2B or information services space. • A Bachelor’s degree, Masters is a plus • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • A demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated B2B relationships • A demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams and business units to achieve success • A willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals (estimated travel 50-60% within US) • Proven leadership and ability to drive experienced sales teams."
