Sr. Account Manager - Power/Energy - Telecom - Virtual - 531741 in New York, NY Sr. Account Manager - Power/Energy - Telecom - Virtual - 531741 Our client is an international supplier of electrical protection systems. They design, manufacture and market surge protection solutions and perform third party testing as well as engineering standards verification. They are a privately-held company with diversified products for the telecommunications, energy, and industrial-OEM markets. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Europe, they distribute their leading edge surge protection systems in more than 40 countries around the globe. Their operations are supported through subsidiaries and sales offices in Greece, U.S.A, Canada, Switzerland, Romania, Bulgaria, and Mexico. Location: Virtual Relocation: Not Necessary Base Salary: $100,000.00 OTE: $240,000.00 Travel: 50% Responsibilities: Prospects and sells the company's telecom related products. Retains the business of assigned accounts and drives the renewal strategy for updated products and specifications at intermediate, large or key accounts. Prepares account specific retention strategies and plans. Effectively recommends changes in response to renewal action or market demands, that are consistent with capabilities of the organization. Collects and analyzes relevant data to prepare, implement and monitor annual sales plans for assigned territories. Coordinates with internal departments to resolve problems and provide service Educates accounts, business and channel partners regarding products for assigned accounts. Cultivates strong working relationships with assigned accounts, business and channel partners. Participates in directing and training sales support staff and coordinates with internal departments to assure that appropriate service is provided to assigned accounts. Reviews on a monthly/quarterly basis the appropriate data on assigned accounts in order to retain and maximize profitability and growth. Directs the work of sales support and marketing staff to complete special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of 5 -7 years sales experience in an industrial, manufacturing sales environment preferably in power or energy fields. Bachelor’s degree, Engineering degree a plus Demonstrated strategic selling skills Demonstrated experience and skill with product and financial aspects of negotiating an account with internal and external partners. Demonstrated project management skills with ability to organize and prioritize work. Effective problem-solving ability. Ability to work independently and/or in collaboration with various departments and levels of personnel. Ability to organize and prioritize work and effectively manage time. Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel nationally 50%.
