Sr. Manager Data Services in St Louis, MO The Senior Manager of Data Services role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities and resources related to the structured and unstructured data in enterprise information management landscape. This includes relational database environments fostering the use of Oracle and SQL Server, as well as Document and Records Management environments which leverage OpenText Livelink and ContentServer. This individual fosters relationships with personnel at appropriate levels and cultivates business development opportunities. This individual will demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities, professional knowledge, and has an ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge. Proven communication skills, technical skills, administrative skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide his/her team. Principal Accountabilities: Manage the life cycle management process of enterprise information management technologies and services to maintain cost effective and appropriate services Meet regularly with key business stakeholders to understand business needs and align those with data management based solutions Manage vendor and technology evaluation and selection processes to ensure cost effective and reliable services Be accountable to build and maintain capital and expense budgets for technologies, services, and people under direct control Monitor workload and project/work performance of his/her direct reports and take appropriate action to ensure timelines are being met Lead efforts to develop and maintain standards for technology based services to ensure consistency on a global basis Lead efforts to monitor and ensure optimum performance in data management Lead efforts to develop and execute service performance data collection tools and processes and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure acceptable performance levels Technical Responsibilities: Develop enterprise data strategies and roadmaps Develop architectural and design patterns, considerations, solution options, and impact Experience in developing state, event, UML, and Entity-Relationship models Design and implementation ETL solutions using one of the leading ETL packages (e.g, DataStage) Design and implementation of SAP Data Refresh solution such as GoldClient Design and implementation of data archiving solutions such as OpenText Design and implementation of an operational data stores on leading platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Serve) Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years direct experience managing Data Services teams. At least 6 years experience as DBA and/or Data Architect Proven successful experience in overseeing the direction, architecture, design, configuration, implementation, monitoring and ongoing support of Relational databases Knowledge of Oracle relational database system in an AIX operating system with an SAP landscape is essential. Proven track record of exceptional staff development, including the mentoring and growing of highly effective technical resources. Strong knowledge of software development best practices and methodologies. Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server Experience with the following is preferred: OpenText, Gold Client, DataStage.
