GA Operations is in search of an Operations Analyst specifically for the Benchmark Team which support equity and fixed income benchmarks for AB.  The Benchmark Team is critical to AB as it ensures the availability and accuracy of equity and fixed income benchmark data across the firm needed for numerous AB reports (e.g. Client Reporting and Attribution) and for research purposes.  The person in this role will support day-to-day production benchmark needs, month-end processing of benchmark data and various project-base initiatives. Proficiency in SQL scripting will be critical for a successful candidate.  This position will report to the GA Operations Manger for the Benchmark Team The person in this position will work closely with the GA Operations Equity/FI teams, Performance teams, Client Reporting, GA IT team, quant analysts, as well as the offshore team in India. Two Postions Available:  Analyst and Manager positions open   A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Computer related major Well experienced in data mining and manipulation of large data sets Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task under tight deadlines Good understanding of financial market and instruments     Good understanding of equity and fixed income benchmarks Minimum two years of related working experience Proficiency with SQL (ability to read and write (freehand) intermediate level ANSI SQL scripts) Proficiency with Excel (pivot table, v-lookup etc.) Experience in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) Excellent analytical and communication skill (verbal and written) Takes initiative, self starter and ability to work independently and as a team member Ability to interact and form effective working relationships with analysts, developers, and other business units   Preferred: Proficiency with Factset, Bloomberg, Lipper Lana, Datastream and Yield Book Knowledge of performance attribution, portfolio valuation, or corporate action   Specific responsibilities may include but not be limited to: Support the full production cycle for report generation in the benchmark area, including: Collection and loading of  benchmark data from external and internal sources Assignment of benchmarks to accounts in various systems for reporting Conduct quality controls (QCs), analyze and correct data issues Ensure deadlines for benchmark data are met Understand the complex production systems, database structure, processing flow and data / reporting requiremen... http://bull.hn/l/JN7F/3"
