Job Description Information Security Engineer POSITION INFORMATION Location: New York, NY Responsibilities The successful candidate must have a strong command of ArcSight setup, operations, rule chain programming, alerting, use case development & implementation, collector configuration, DB maintenance, optimization and reporting. Real world security experience in the financial services, retail, government, energy and/or pharmaceutical industries. Experience with setup and technical operations of ISS Site Protector Strong skills with security operations, intrusion defense, forensics, disk imaging, patching, firewalls, Denial of Service detection/mitigation, etc. Additionally, the candidate should have a command of secure configuration on Linux, incident investigation, system hardening, and similar security technology. The Information Security Engineer is responsible for documentation including reports, presentations, run books, incident reviews, threat impact assessments, mitigation tactics, remediation strategies and related items. Experience with PCI DSS, SSAE16, ISAE3402 and/or ISO27001 is required. Demonstrable experience in an internal SOC or with a MSSP. Ability to demonstrate solutions, field questions and respond to inquires on APTs, emerging security issues, trends, statutory mandates and standards. Technologies (in order of importance): ArcSight Linux ISS (Site Protector, HIPS & GX probes) Snort Cisco 42xx/ISR IPS Modules eEye Retina Tripwire Iptables TippingPoint CoreImpact, WebInspect or AppDective. Qualifications Experience 5 years of system expertise with Linux and Windows. 4 years hands on ArcSight and/or certification 3 years of system & application security management. Security Event Management, Linux system administration focusing on security, security audits, auditing, forensic investigation on Linux, AS400 & Linux, ISO 9001, 14001, 20000, 27001 compliance. Certifications (desired but not required) CompTIA Security+, CISA, CISA, HP (ArcSight) Checkpoint, Cisco Keywords ArcSight, Proventia, Site Protector, Checkpoint, Retina, ISS, 27001, PCI DSS.
