The Infrastructure Architect has a key role to play towards completing projects in alignment with project dates. The Infrastructure Architect develops the architectural specifications and delivers to the engineering team for design and deployment. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: * Gather the requirements needed for the infrastructure required for the project * Design and document the solution for the infrastructure components of the project and communicate to engineering * Ensure that stability and performance are factored into solutions * Conduct design reviews to ensure that the design aligns with the architecture * Evaluate and understand technical capabilities for a broad range of technologies * Look for and act on opportunities to insert new technologies into projects * Research, analyze, determine capabilities and propose technology solutions that enable specific business needs and product and service strategies across lines of business * Establish and maintain a high level of trust, confidence and intellectual integrity with IT partners * Work with IT partners to ensure the successful adoption and use of infrastructure architecture reference architectures, frameworks, patterns and standards. This includes conforming to strategies, reference architectures and guiding principles. Qualifications: * Experience with infrastructure architecture discipline in a large matrixed enterprise with global/virtual team experience * Bachelor’s degree & 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture * Insurance industry experience a plus * Can abstract and socialize complex systems and solutions; able to coordinate activities to get any additional information and detail; able to document and communicate according to architectural principles, models and terminology * Able to prioritize work, time and schedule as demand fluctuates * Connects with others and proactively solicits their views before making key decisions; develops relationships and gains the trust of team members and colleagues * Keeps apprised of industry trends and applies this knowledge to solutions"
