Due to our ongoing commitment to quality and our expanded capacity, Severstal has the following challenging and exciting opportunity for an Automotive Sales Rep - New Domestic Companies. Position Purpose: To maximize sales within identified OEM accounts by developing strategies to communicate steel product application to customers. Position Responsibilities: • Responsible for securing and renewing orders and arranging delivery dates. • Sells and promotes company products and services to major accounts by contacting and visiting established customers and developing new prospects. • Develops long and short range sales forecasts of steel products by compiling, reviewing and analyzing sales data, determines potential new products for divisional consideration by screening and developing market information and evaluating new product proposals. • Conducts studies and prepare sales information relative to sales trends, assembly and procurement programs, price trends, and customer requirements. • Assists in developing and preparing sales presentations on proposed changes in steel allocation policies, marketing reviews, and product studies • Assist management in the identification of quota and revenue opportunities by account/region. • Act as an interface between the Sales Department and the Product Development Team. Position Requirements: • Five years of progressive sales experience. • Minimum of two years of outside sales experience in the steel/metals industry. • College degree in business or related field. • Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction. • Skilled in the ability to determine customer requirements, develop new product ideas, and recommend appropriate pricing/discount strategies • Negotiation and interpersonal skills. • Experience in conducting business among the automotive community. • Strong customer service mentality. • Knowledge of Company products. • High degree of business and personal integrity. • Strong computer and presentation skills • Automotive Sales Representative with specific knowledge of new domestic automotive manufacturers (either Germany or Asian products).
