The Company has been in the steel manufacturing business for more than seventy years and produces a variety of high quality, flat-rolled carbon steel products, including hot rolled, cold rolled and electro-galvanized steel. Severstal is a major supplier to the automotive industry and became the first integrated Steel Company in the world to achieve QS-9000 certification. Due to our ongoing commitment to quality and our expanded capacity, Severstal has the following challenging and exciting opportunity for a CAE Analyst. Job Duties and Responsibilities • Interact daily with automotive customers and perform detailed CAE/FEA analysis • Compose FEA report and present results • Efficiently conduct multiple analysis using various CAE/FEA software, interpret results, identify issues and recommend changes for issue resolution • Work with team members to tackle challenges in production using Robustness analysis related to stamping and material engineering • Investigate other challenging manufacturing processes, such as hot-stamping, hydro-forming and tube-making process • Perform construction of material model based on testing results, and perform investigation of new model to improve simulation accuracy Required Qualifications for the two (2) positions • Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS preferred • Fluent in LS-DYNA, Dynaform, Autoform, Hypermesh, Catia • Familiar with Optimization (Optistruct, Genesis) • Hands on Experience in stamping plants (trouble shooting • Strong interpersonal skills and must work well in a team of varied levels of management The following requirements are specific to one of the individual positions Position #1 must also have the following: • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in metal forming FEA simulation • Experience in draw die development Position #2: • Hands on experience in metal forming FEA simulation • Familiar with stamping process and draw die development To be considered for this position, please apply at the site below: http://alturl.com/uaqx3 Severstal is an Equal Opportunity Employer"
