Senior Network and Storage Engineer Location: Mountain View, CA Description: Major law firm has an immediate need for a Senior Network and Storage Engineer in their Mountain View office. They have invested heavily in the firm’s IT infrastructure and are looking for talented individuals to help them manage and expand it into the future. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated, self-directed individual who possesses a deep understanding of networking and storage configuration and management. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of storage and networking of a world-class datacenter with more than a petabyte of SAN/NAS storage. Additionally, you will be responsible for the evaluation, analysis, design, and development of an integrated computing infrastructure system that ensures the protection of proprietary/confidential data and systems, as well as providing high performance and redundancy. Requirements for the position include: • 3+ years of experience working in or designing a multi-site storage environment involving SAN, NAS, a switched fabric design, and administration skills (Brocade, Cisco a plus) • In-depth knowledge of enterprise storage (NAS and SAN) configuration and management, including such tasks as benchmarking, capacity planning, performance tuning and provisioning in a Windows server environment • Experience in configuration and administration of EMC and HITACHI AMS storage • 5+ years of experience in a complex network environment (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Force 10, 10GigE, FCoE a plus) • Experience in configuration and management of CISCO switches and routers • Minimum 1 year experience in policy development requirements analysis and definition, risk assessment, testing and evaluation relating to network, storage and security design • BS in Computer Science or equivalent applicable experience • Certifications in storage management such as EMC and HDS highly desirable but not required • Certifications in IT security, such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, CISM, CISA, CCMP, Security+ desirable but not required Please email your resume to Ashley Hammond at ashleyhammond@cox.net ."
