"Hiring a Project Manager- Agile, Scrum, Media in New York, NY Job Description:   Job Title:        Project Manager – Agile, Media, Entertainment, etc. Location:        New York, NY Job Type:        Contract Duration:        1 year+ Contact Info:  Mike Potenza - mpotenza@techlink.com - (201) 786-2413   Solid Agile experience is required!   Great Client (client is a major broadcast/media company) - Very interesting and diverse work/projects!   Types of projects include Web and Mobile.  The job description is below for your review.    The Project Manager manages and directs a portfolio of medium to large sized projects including the definition, development, delivery and deployment of quality solutions to meet customer needs.   The Project Manager is directly responsible for project: scope, finances, schedule, risk, human resources, communications and change-management.   Any previous experience in any of the following is highly desirable:   Digital Agency experience Media industry experience Entertainment industry experience Experience at an “Online” company “Consumer Facing” project experience   Duties:   Coordination and scheduling of project resources to ensure quality and on-time delivery of project artifacts Management of project scope and finances Communication of weekly status to all project stakeholders Contribute to continual process improvements through the creation of documentation and training materials.   Qualifications/Requirements:   Must have several years of formal project management responsibility, demonstrating leadership skills and managing technical staff and creative resources through various life-cycle phases (cross functional experience highly desirable) Must have solid information systems or relevant business experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of information systems, preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms. Must have several years of management experience in which one or more of the following has occurred: Successful development and implementation of applications in web-based architecture environments using new and emerging technologies Demonstrated competency in managing resources to meet project goals Development of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems Successfully implemented new work processes or process improvements Knowledge and use of formal software development life-cycle methodologies, including: Waterfall or Agile. Gained experience working with customers in media and entertainment to develop solutions to business problems; Experience in full systems development, software development and project management life cycles with both custom development and package based application deployment. Experience in process engineering /re-engineering and deployment, and project management life cycles related to implementing new re-engineered processes.
