"SAP Project Manager in Beaverton, OR Our Client is seeking a SAP Project Manager for their current project. Employment Type: Contract Location: Beaverton, OR Duration: 1 year Openings: 1 Target Start Date: Immediately The SAP Project Manager’s primary focus is to direct and drive specific ERP projects from Initialization through Stabilization, take over some projects already in process, and establish/enforce use of the Columbia SAP Project Management methodology and toolsets, ensuring that best practices are being applied. The SAP Project Manager is expected to provide leadership, guidance, and oversight of all project activities to enable maximum value throughout the project lifecycle. The SAP Project Manager is the key liaison between the Project Team and the Director of Projects Office, as well as working with the SAP Program Director, Steering Committees, and other Project Managers. Responsibilities: On-time, within-budget management of all phases of SAP implementations or other projects Development of program implementation plan and cutover approaches Ownership of SAP Solution Manager project design and procedures for use Communication with SAP Senior Project Manager, SAP Program Director, and other senior management regarding collective status of all ERP projects (rollouts, enhancements, and support Monitoring of resource utilization and alignment with project needs Lead project quality reviews Provide project management training of Columbia methodology and toolsets Write RFPs and manage vendor/software selection processes Required Skills: Possess in depth knowledge of large-scale ERP implementations Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other planning tools PMI or other formal project management methodology certification preferred Detailed understanding of SAP ASAP Project Implementation Methodology Proficiency with SAP Solution Manager Ability to define project principles, procedures, methodologies and toolsets 10+ years of professional experience, ideally with a minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience At least 1 full life-cycle SAP implementations using SAP's ASAP/Global ASAP methodology Strong leadership experience Demonstrated understanding of software implementation methodologies, tools, and best practices Nice to have Skills: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in business or management information systems.
