Job Description: Purpose:Develop, design new products, product improvements, line extensions for cost reduction of existing products, testing of new products, processes, etc. in accordance with company policies, procedures, government laws, regulations Education & Qualifications:Bachelor degree in an engineering or science curriculum with additional computer training or equivalentFive to seven years in a medical device and research and development environmentIdeal candidate must have experience in:Job Duties:Develop, design new products, product improvements, line extensions for cost reduction of existing products, testing of new products, processes, etc. in accordance with company policies, procedures, government laws, regulationsDirect activities, supervise, evaluate work performed by subordinates. Plan and review performance of subordinatesDesign, plan, determine testing to ensure products meet quality, safety and effectiveness criteriaManage project teams, train, instruct employees and assist in orientation of new employeesInterface with inside/outside contacts to complete assignments, resolve complaints, problems, etc.Make reports, ensure logs, lists, files are maintained and complete required paperworkIdentify, qualify vendors and identify areas for cost reduction, process improvements, etc.Ensure assigned projects are sufficiently staffed and are completed in the most efficient and timely mannerPerform other related duties as required by management"
