"I have a friend in the recruiting business who asked me to put the word out to my network about a search assignment he is working on for a Sourcing Specialist. His Client is located 45 minutes Northwest of Chicago. Please email to my friend directly at: DougF@EpicStrategies.com We have been retained by our Client who is a designer and manufacturer of material handling equipment and forklifts to help them recruit a Sourcing Specialist. Their manufacturing and customer service facility is based Northwest of Chicago and is their North and South American headquarters. A team of 350 associates at this location is dedicated to the design, manufacture and support of their material handling products. Their ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 certifications ensure all facets of the forklift manufacturing operation have earned the quality seal their customers have come to expect, while never losing focus on their environmental responsibility. Key Attributes: • Demonstrated accomplishments and experience working in a strategic sourcing responsibility for a major corporation with international suppliers. • Analytical with strong Project Management Skills: o Utilize root cause analysis to address internal and external performance issues o Ability to determine total landed costs o Extremely organized o Sourcing strategy development and documentation (strategy sheet) • Strong communication skills with: o Internal management, team members, and cross-functional teams o Key suppliers to develop a long-term partnership • Experienced negotiator to drive strategies with suppliers to: o Reduce overall costs o Localize suppliers from current international sources • Eager to learn new skills while demonstrating mature leadership skills • Positive “can-do” attitude while overcoming adversity and daily challenges: o Resilient and persistent o Hands-on contributor o Team player with a desire to grow within the organization o Retain project ownership while accepting guidance and decisions from corporate supply chain initiatives • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field - engineering degree or MBA a plus • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing position in related industries including automotive, heavy industrial equipment manufacturing environment, or similar industries (IE.
