View company name and apply directly at: http://bit.ly/oiWzKj Job Description: RESPONSIBILITIES include: • Oversee and interact with third-party administrator on fund accounting, month-end valuations and NAV calculations • Perform ad hoc financial analysis related to funds and asset manager • Maintain investor database, prepare investor communications, including monthly performance reporting, fund pitch book and other marketing materials • Interact with high net worth investors, providing assistance with subscription documents and ongoing service • Learn compliance framework and implement control measures • Perform corporate accounting for asset manager; assist Chief Financial & Operating Officer with financial planning and analysis • Assist with administrative projects • Carry out automation to make all of the above activities more efficient REQUIREMENTS • 2 – 3 years experience related to financial markets, working in an accounting firm or middle-office/back-office environment: o Knowledge of the fixed income instruments is required o Knowledge of fixed income derivatives a definite asset • Enrolment in the CFA and/or an accounting program is strongly preferred • Exceptional client-service orientation and professional attitude • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Previous experience with portfolio management systems or CRM software is preferred • Technical proficiency with VBA/programming an asset • Proven track record of problem solving in a professional environment • Other attributes: o excellent communication and interpersonal skills o flexibility and eagerness to learn all aspects of asset management operations o attention to detail o superior time-management skills and proven ability to multi-task o ability to work independently and be proactive about impending work"
