The Security Operations Lead will initially help to build the security operations centre and will eventually assume leadership of the mission. The Security Operations Lead is expected to have demonstrated expertise in Security Operations methodology and overall information security concepts. Position Responsibilities • The Security Operations Lead will initially help to build the SMC and will eventually assume leadership of the mission. • Completing all tactical security operations tasks associated with this engagement. • Function as the secondary point of contact (to Project Manager) for all issues relating to the project • Mentor, lead, and train all security operations analysts. • Lead the effort and work to identify, document, and test all process and procedures required for security operations. • Tactical direction to SMC analysts and Operators (in Operate) Required Experience • 5+ years working within the information security field, with emphasis on security operations, incident management, intrusion detection and analysis, firewall deployment, and security event analysis. • Ability to lead a security operations centre team to quickly and completely solve business and security problems. • Ability to train Level-1 and Level-2 security operations centre analysts/engineers. • Great customer service skills. • Advanced technical writing skills. • Strong analytical skills. Desired Experience • Good project management skills. • Professional certifications- (or equivalent) PMP, CISSP, and SANS. • Working knowledge of one or more SIEM technology platforms. • Experience in designing and building security or network operations centres. • Incident management process development and/or incident management experience.
