"Sr. Engineer- Power Systems Piping and Packaged Equipment - AKRON OHIO The Sr. Engineer is directly accountable for overall detailed mechanical design of the integrated heat engine skid. Including but not limited to layout and design of skid piping and ancillary equipment. The Sr. Engineer will coordinate necessary data transmission from control devices and instrumentation with other specialty engineers. In addition, the Sr. Engineer will work with auxiliary systems engineers to develop detailed analytical models, drawings and schematics. The Sr. Engineer will be expected to work closely with the Senior Systems Engineer to ensure proper functioning of the main piping systems, including specification of appropriate supports, expansion loop placement, and joint configuration for allowable management of thermal growth and adequate stress control. The Sr. Engineer will work with applications engineers and EPC contractors to ensure proper design and construction of off-skid piping to ensure all interfaces will handle imposed flange loads. The Sr. Engineer will also be responsible for overseeing engine fabrication, assembly, and testing processes. Qualifications Minimum 5-10 years experience in designing packaged process piping or comparable systems, preferably with direct team leadership responsibility; BSME or BSChE or higher Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, including at a minimum ASME B31.3, ASME BPV Section VIII Div 1 and 2; Experience in 3D CAD (preferably Autodesk Inventor), piping stress analysis (CAESAR-II or equivalent) FEA stress analysis (ANSYS or equivalent) Experience with high temperature (<800°F) piping design; Licensed Professional Engineer SEND A WORD RESUME TO jthompson@tescareers.com"
