One of our client looking for the below mentioned position. Position: Data Architect Total experience: 10+ yrs Desired Candidate profile: Experience in defining & realizing end-to-end Solution Architecture for large & complex systems 10+ years of experience in IT including at least 6 years in Data Architecture/Data design related roles 5+ years of hands-on experience in logical & physical data modeling with experience in database modeling principles including data normalization, replication, integrity, and security. Deep knowledge of enterprise data model for at least one domain (Travel | Banking | Insurance | Manufacturing) is desirable 2+ years of experience in using modeling tools like ERwin and Oracle Designer 5+ years of deep expertise in Oracle database with at least one year of experience in configuring Oracle RAC 4+ years of working with RDBMS in conjunction with Java/JEE or .NET based systems 2+ years of experience in ORM mechanisms to map object models to relational models 2+ years of experience in Data integration with at least one implementation of ‘Master Data Management’ 2+ years of experience in Data migration techniques/tools Hands on experience in DB performance engineering, monitoring & tuning Hands on experience in capacity planning & deployment architecture for relational databases on multiple hardware platforms Experience in defining backup & recovery mechanisms for large databases Experience in defining DR policies & mechanisms for databases Proficient in at least one UNIX & one Linux environment Exposure to source code versioning systems like CVS/SVN Experience with different development methodologies (RUP | Scrum | XP) is a plus Experience in Architecture consulting engagements is a plus Certification in any Architecture related area is a plus Follow trends in DB technology and have a point of view Soft skills: Good communication and presentation skills High integrity Problem solving skills & learning attitude Team player Process oriented Key responsibilities Define and own end-to-end Data Architecture from definition phase to go-live phase Ensure clarity on NFR and address these requirements during Architecture definition phase Define Logical, Physical views of Data Architecture Review SQL queries to ensure acceptable performance Lead performance engineering and capacity planning exercises for data tier Help PM in identifying key technical risks and mitigation plan for the same Help PM in effort estimation and planning Mentor & guide Tech Leads & Software Engineers Other responsibilities Handle interviews to attract external talent for the role of Data Architect / Tech Leads Nurture & groom in-house budding Architects Build ‘Reference Enterprise Data Model’ for selected domains Involve in pre-sales process and lead creating effective proposals for large, complex systems Write ‘Point of View’ document on emerging technology trends Conduct internal sessions on Architecture and Technology related topics Job Location: Bangalore If this interests you kindly forward, your latest updated profile as reply to this mail & we will call you at your convenient time for provide more details.
