One of our client looking for the below mentioned position. Position: Domain Consultant- Electrical Utilities Total experience: 10+ yrs Responsible for: Providing high level technical expertise & consulting services to Marketing / Bid / Sales Teams, covering all aspects of Electrical Utility Systems (any one or more of MWM,OMS,DMS,MDM,SCADA & GIS). Job Description Main Activities Conduct workshops at customer locations globally to capture requirements related to implementation of their business processes. Leveraging knowledge of the Utility systems to architect technical solutions. Guide technical teams to develop proof-of-concepts around current / future challenges faced by the Utilities. Research trends in the implementation of Utility systems and to formulate services to be launched to address Global markets. Be actively involved in the sales cycle, especially the pre-sales process by contributing towards preparing customer proposals, visit customer locations along with sales teams whenever required. Establishing relationships with new product vendors and System Integrators to help us penetrate into new service areas. Participate in international conferences and seminars. Contribute towards publishing papers in international journals / magazines. To provide overall direction and technical solution (including high-level architecture). Estimating the effort involved in such development activities to support bid/proposal preparation. Facilitating the convergence of various technologies / platforms into enterprise architecture. Key Skills Expert skills in configuration and implementation of Utility Systems. Strong knowledge of technical concepts of enterprise architecture, contemporary IT strategies, directions and technologies. Working knowledge in implementing one or more of Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), Outage Management System (OMS), Distribution Management System (DMS), Meter Data Management (MDM), Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Geographic Information System (GIS). Exposure to open source software development environment. Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication, attention to detail and follow-through skills. Experience in integration of large, complex distributed systems. Typical Experience At least 9-15 years’ experience in Information Technology, primarily in utility software systems, product development and maintenance, coupled with Electrical Engineering Degree. Other Comments: Certification in enterprise architecture is (like TOGAF) is preferred. Previous experience in multi-tier product development.
